Dr. John S. Pellerito is the Vice Chairman of the Department of Radiology as well as the Program Director for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program and Director of the Peripheral Vascular Laboratory at Northwell Health. He is also the Director of the Body Imaging Fellowship at North Shore University Hospital. He is Professor of Radiology and Science Education at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and is co-director of the SONICS ultrasound program for medical students at the University.
Dr. Pellerito graduated from New York University before receiving his M.D. from Albany Medical College. He served as a radiologist at Yale-New Haven Hospital before his current positions at Northwell Health. He is the co-editor of Introduction to Vascular Ultrasonography, now in its 7th edition. He is the author of multiple original articles and book chapters, and his current research interests include developing new imaging strategies for OB/GYN and cardiovascular diseases, including 3D imaging and ultrasound contrast agents.
Dr. Pellerito is in great demand as a speaker both nationally and internationally and currently holds multiple editorial appointments including Radiology, RadioGraphics, and the Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine. He was a board examiner for the American Board of Radiology. He serves on the Executive Committee for the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission for Vascular Testing (IAC). He also serves on multiple committees, including the American College of Radiology, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, Society of Ultrasound in Medical Education, and the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound.

Harprit S. Bedi, MD

Harprit S. Bedi MD is a Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. In this role, he serves as Vice-Chair of Education, Neuroradiology Fellowship Director, and Radiology Clerkship Director, helping to shape the next generation of radiologists through innovative training and curriculum development. His leadership in medical education has positioned him as a highly respected figure in academic radiology.
Before joining Boston University, Dr. Bedi held several senior positions including Chairman of Radiology at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and Vice-Chairman as well as Radiology Residency Program Director at Tufts University Medical Center. Throughout his career, he has been deeply involved in advancing radiology education, serving as a member and leader of numerous committees across major radiology societies. He is the current chairperson of the ACR Learning Design Committee and previously chaired the RSNA Education Study Section, both of which underscore his commitment to innovation in medical education.
Dr. Bedi has also created impactful national initiatives such as the National Virtual Noon Conference series, which expanded access to radiology education across the country. For this effort, he is being recognized with the APRD Achievement Award. In addition, he sits on the Board of the Radiology Leadership Institute and is the creator of the national RLI Healthcare Economics Milestone program, demonstrating his forward-thinking approach to combining clinical education with leadership and business principles.
Through his academic appointments, leadership roles, and contributions to national initiatives, Harprit S. Bedi MD continues to influence radiology education on a global scale. His dedication to advancing both clinical knowledge and leadership training makes him a key figure in shaping the future of radiology.

John Carrino, MD, MPH

Dr. Carrino is an internationally renowned radiologist with particular expertise in diagnostic imaging and percutaneous image-guided intervention. He is a coauthor on over 200 peer reviewed publications in a variety of areas.
Dr. Carrino has strong interests in musculoskeletal diagnostic imaging using multiple modalities (Magnetic Resonance, Computed Tomography, Ultrasound, Radiography), image guided therapy (IGT), medical informatics, and health services research. He has an extensive research background with previous NIH awards and also brings to bear a strong foundation in information technology. Dr. Carrino is an active participant in several medical societies related to musculoskeletal imaging, interventional radiology, MRI and informatics. He has participated in the leadership of several national and international scientific and professional societies. He has served on the Advisory Committee of the FDA Radiology Devices Panel, looking at computer aided diagnosis. He is a formal collaborator in the Laboratory for Imaging in Surgery, Therapy and Radiology at Johns Hopkins University.
Dr. Carrino received a B.S. degree in biology and an M.D. degree from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and a M.P.H. degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. He also had the benefit of a military scholarship with his payback time spent at the U.S. Air Force’s premier medical treatment facility, Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, an academic healthcare enterprise within the Department of Defense. Dr. Carrino performed his Radiology training at Yale New Haven Hospital. He is a member of the editorial boards of numerous scientific journals and an associate editor for Arthritis & Rheumatism.

Dr. Khaled Elsayes is a Professor of Radiology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and The University of Texas John P. and Katherine G. McGovern Medical School in Houston. Dr. Elsayes is a world-renowned radiologist with more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and abstracts, 100 visiting professorships, and 85 international awards, including the 2014, 2017, and 2018 RSNA Honored Educator Awards.
Dr. Elsayes is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences and a fellow of numerous international societies. He also serves on the editorial boards of several international journals and is the author of three radiology textbooks: Introduction to Diagnostic Radiology (McGraw-Hill), Cross Sectional Imaging of the Abdomen and Pelvis (Springer), and Pitfalls of the Abdomen and Pelvis (Elsevier).
Dr. Elsayes is The University of Texas MD Anderson Institutional Medical Director of Global Education. He values collaboration with colleagues worldwide and is dedicated to teaching, mentoring, and sharing the latest advances in radiology. His work focuses on integrating innovative technologies and improved diagnostic methods to advance patient care and treatment planning.

Ann N.C. Leung, MD, is a Professor of Radiology and the Division Chief of Thoracic Imaging at Stanford University Medical Center. Her expertise lies in the application of high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) to diagnose and evaluate thoracic diseases, including interstitial lung diseases and lung nodules. Dr. Leung’s work focuses on advancing imaging techniques to enhance diagnostic accuracy and patient care, contributing significantly to thoracic radiology and interdisciplinary pulmonary medicine.
Dr. Leung is a key contributor to Stanford’s Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) Multi-Disciplinary Discussions, providing expert radiologic consultations. Her research includes automated classification of usual interstitial pneumonia and the use of quantitative volumetric texture analysis. Additionally, her studies explore CT imaging’s role in managing lung cancers, particularly in understanding their enhancement characteristics through CT and MRI.
Beyond her clinical and research contributions, Dr. Leung is actively involved in medical education and collaboration with specialists in pulmonary and critical care medicine. She plays a crucial role in integrating radiological insights with clinical practices to improve diagnostic pathways and treatment planning for complex thoracic conditions.
