John S. Pellerito, MD, FACR, FAIUM, FSRU

Dr. John S. Pellerito is the Vice Chairman of the Department of Radiology as well as the Program Director for the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program and Director of the Peripheral Vascular Laboratory at Northwell Health. He is also the Director of the Body Imaging Fellowship at North Shore University Hospital. He is Professor of Radiology and Science Education at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell and is co-director of the SONICS ultrasound program for medical students at the University.

 

Dr. Pellerito graduated from New York University before receiving his M.D. from Albany Medical College. He served as a radiologist at Yale-New Haven Hospital before his current positions at Northwell Health. He is the co-editor of Introduction to Vascular Ultrasonography, in its 7th edition. He is the author of multiple original articles and book chapters, and his current research interests include developing new imaging strategies for OB/GYN and cardiovascular diseases including 3D imaging and ultrasound contrast agents.

 

Dr. Pellerito is in great demand as a speaker both nationally and internationally and currently holds multiple editorial appointments including Radiology, RadioGraphics and Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine. He was a board examiner for the American Board of Radiology. He serves on the Executive Committee for the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) and is currently on the Board of Directors for the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission for Vascular Testing (IAC). He currently serves on multiple committees, including the American College of Radiology, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine, Society of Ultrasound in Medical Education and the Society of Radiologists in Ultrasound.

Harpit S. Bedi, MD

Dr. Harprit Singh Bedi is Clinical Associate Professor of Radiology at the Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine. There he serves as the Vice-Chair of Education, Neuroradiology Fellowship Director, and Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine Radiology Clerkship Director.

 

Before joining Boston University, Dr. Bedi was formerly Chairman of Radiology at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center and Vice-Chairman and Radiology Residency Program Director at Tufts University Medical Center. Dr. Bedi also serves as a member and leader of many radiology education committees in many radiology societies. He is the current chairperson of the ACR Learning Design Committee and former chairperson of the RSNA Education Study Section. He also created the National Virtual Noon Conference series and is being awarded this year’s APRD Achievement Award for those efforts. He sits on the Board of the Radiology Leadership Institute and is the creator national RLI Healthcare Economics Milestone program.

John Carrino, MD, MPH

Dr. Carrino is an internationally renowned radiologist with particular expertise in diagnostic imaging and percutaneous image-guided intervention.  He is a coauthor on over 200 peer reviewed publications in a variety of areas.

Dr. Carrino has strong interests in musculoskeletal diagnostic imaging using multiple modalities (Magnetic Resonance, Computed Tomography, Ultrasound, Radiography), image guided therapy (IGT), medical informatics, and health services research. He has an extensive research background with previous NIH awards and also brings to bear a strong foundation in information technology. Dr. Carrino is an active participant in several medical societies related to musculoskeletal imaging, interventional radiology, MRI and informatics. He has participated in the leadership of several national and international scientific and professional societies. He has served on the Advisory Committee of the FDA Radiology Devices Panel, looking at computer aided diagnosis. He is a formal collaborator in the Laboratory for Imaging in Surgery, Therapy and Radiology at Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Carrino received a B.S. degree in biology and an M.D. degree from the George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and a M.P.H. degree from the Harvard School of Public Health. He also had the benefit of a military scholarship with his payback time spent at the U.S. Air Force’s premier medical treatment facility, Wilford Hall Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, an academic healthcare enterprise within the Department of Defense. Dr. Carrino performed his Radiology training at Yale New Haven Hospital. He is a member of the editorial boards of numerous scientific journals and an associate editor for Arthritis & Rheumatism.

Khaled Elsayes, MD

Dr. Khaled Elsayes is a Professor of Radiology at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center and The University of Texas John P. and Katherine G. McGovern Medical School in Houston. Dr. Elsayes is a well-known world renowned radiologist with more than 200 peer review publications and abstracts, 100 visiting professorships and 85 international awards (including 2014, 2017 and 2018 RSNA honored educator award).

Dr. Elsayes is an imminent speaker in national and international conferences, fellow of numerous international societies. He is also editorial member of several international journals and author of three radiology textbooks; “Introduction to Diagnostic Radiology” published by McGraw-Hill, “Cross Sectional Imaging of the Abdomen and Pelvis” published by Springer, “Pitfalls of the Abdomen and Pelvis” published by Elsevier.

Dr. Khaled Elsayes is The University of Texas MD Anderson Institutional Medical Director of Global Education. He enjoys partnering with many wonderful, intelligent colleagues. He holds honor in helping others and brings value and contributions that focus in teaching and centering the newest and most up-to-date information to his mentees. Partners to present the newest technologies and improved methods and processes for diagnosis and creating an action plan to help treat patients and fight the disease.

Ann Leung, MD

Ann N.C. Leung, MD, is a Professor of Radiology and the Division Chief of Thoracic Imaging at Stanford University Medical Center. Her expertise lies in the application of high-resolution computed tomography (HRCT) to diagnose and evaluate thoracic diseases, including interstitial lung diseases and lung nodules. Dr. Leung's work focuses on advancing imaging techniques to enhance diagnostic accuracy and patient care, contributing significantly to the fields of thoracic radiology and interdisciplinary pulmonary medicine.

Dr. Leung is a key contributor to Stanford's Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) Multi-Disciplinary Discussions, providing expert radiologic consultations. Her research includes automated classification of usual interstitial pneumonia and the use of quantitative volumetric texture analysis. Additionally, her studies explore CT imaging's role in managing lung cancers, particularly in understanding their enhancement characteristics through CT and MRI.

Beyond her clinical and research contributions, Dr. Leung is actively involved in medical education and collaboration with specialists in pulmonary and critical care medicine. She plays a crucial role in integrating radiological insights with clinical practices to improve diagnostic pathways and treatment planning for complex thoracic conditions.
